Who are we?

Sweet As Business was created to help tradies and small business owners get the back-office side of business sorted without the jargon, overwhelm, or late nights buried in paperwork. We know that bookkeeping, admin and marketing are essential, but they shouldn’t take you away from the work that actually pays the bills.​

Behind Sweet As Business is Mel our business founder. Mel is a business systems, finance and admin specialist with decades of hands-on experience across bookkeeping, operational finance, contracts, quality systems, and business improvement.

 

Mel’s worked with small businesses, large organisations, contractors and service teams, and understands exactly how messy things can get when systems don’t work and how much smoother business runs when they do.

Mel brings a rare mix of practical bookkeeping experience, strong financial and reporting knowledge, and a real talent for simplifying complex processes. From GST and payroll to invoicing, admin systems, and marketing support, everything is done in plain English, with a focus on what actually works in the real world, especially for tradies.​
